About WSSHA
The Washington State Society of Healthcare Attorneys ("WSSHA") was
founded in 1973. It is operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes, to
provide an opportunity for legal advisors in the health field to meet and exchange
information and ideas, to conduct legal seminars of interest to such attorneys, and to
provide a central agency for the exchange of legal information in the health field.
Membership in WSSHA is open to all attorneys admitted to practice in the
State of Washington who represent or are employed by a provider of healthcare services.

UW Certificate Program in Healthcare Regulatory
Compliance – Online and Classroom
Gain an overview of
health care codes of conduct, ethics, laws, and national issues
related to health care regulatory compliance in a variety of health
care settings, particularly physician clinics, hospitals and long term
care settings. Study recent health care reform legislation that
requires most health care providers or suppliers who receive
Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement to develop compliance programs. Learn
how to develop effective compliance programs, including effective
auditing and monitoring. Understand the operational safeguards
necessary to promote adherence to legal, regulatory, and health plan
program requirements. The program is offered in a convenient online
and classroom format with limited Saturday classes in Seattle.
Courses include: Foundations of Ethics and Compliance
in Healthcare; Managing Financial Relationships and Incentives in the
Health Care Environment; and Establishing and Maintaining Effective
Compliance and Ethics Programs through Ongoing Risk Assessment.

law & civil litigation firm, is recruiting for a junior
associate attorney to join its Healthcare Regulatory &
Reimbursement Practice Group. This position will focus
primarily on healthcare reimbursement with additional work in
fraud and abuse and other aspects of healthcare regulation.
